Feeling Conflicted, cop assualts civilian and I'm not outraged

A young man who called police is annoyed at the response time and claims rank to the officer.

Officer knocks young man on his ass.

I guess I just don't like people posturing, whether they're saying "I'm a soldier" or "I just got out of the pen".

Maybe I like this because despite the excessive force it was not escalated to 10 officers dog piling and beating him. The officer maintained even tone.

Thoughts?

P.S. I thought they tazed him for a moment there.

What a perfect time and place for my first OC experience... "The Whatcom Tea Party will be joining in solidarity with other tea parties nationwide to protest the IRS unconstitutionally targeting specific groups based on their political affiliation. The rally will run for approximately an hour (starting at Noon on Tuesday May 21) in front of the Bellingham IRS office, 114 W. Magnolia." I've already, some time ago and with some reluctance, removed my "We the People" signs for the roadside speculating that sooner or later some smartass Zombie Predator or Justice Officer might equate the signs with the presence of firearms and act accordingly to their own personal agenda. For me, this is no longer speculation... I can no longer sit on the sidelines. The looming tyranny of the Fed's has been practically palpable these last couple of weeks! I'm betting that OC will make a statement at this rally. See you there!

It was just released about 10 days ago.

Checking OCDO, I did not see any mention of it, so I thought I would provide the link:

This document shows that there has been a 39% reduction in firearms homicides from 1993 to 2011.

Most people that I teach a gun safety course to, think that the rate has risen in the last 20 years.
Their assumptions are incorrect.

Harold Hoover found us new meeting place. About five miles out of Amite, West on 16 is Tall Timbers Truck Stop and Casino. On the left side there is Mufalatas restaurant. They sell no boos. I went out and talked with the owner for awhile this evening and he is very receptive of us. So on the second Sat of June we will meet there instead of the Panda Garden. So all you Florida Parish members put it on your calendar about the meeting place change.

It has been proposed that an alternative to Kokesh's "armed revolt" be staged in protest of DC's gun ban.

This thread is to spitball ideas and form a grassroots movement to organize such a rally. I only have two requirements:

1. No one is in charge. This must be grassroots.
2. We must collectively decide not to deliberately break any laws--not even unconstitutional ones.

Feel free to ignore my requirements. That is the nature of grassroots. I just won't participate if laws are to be broken or a Kokesh-wannabe takes over.

I have hopes to move to Arizona from California soon and I know that like other states, it has good and bad areas. I have heard that some cities are riddled with meth addicts. Can anyone enlighten me on which areas are better than others? Thanks in advance!

Flying into seatac

This will be my first time flying with a firearm as I usually drive. Am I correct in understanding my gun case won't come out with the normal luggage and I will have to go somewhere else to get it? Just wondering where exactly I would go to retrieve it at seatac? I don't see this information listed anywhere and don't want to end up having no idea where to go retrieve my case upon arrival. Just trying to make this as pain free as possible so i'm not super late getting my rental car :) Thanks.

Who Do I Call?

I want to talk to someone who has some power to reeducate the public on firearms laws. Who do I call? Do I call my district rep? Or do I call the mayor's office? I imagine its hopeless. I am very frustrated by all the misinformation out there right now on where carry is legal. What are we doing in terms of legislation to deal with this crap of where carry is unlawful? Who do I call to get a bill sponsored? I don't know the first thing about getting a bill started, and we need one similar to virginia, or texas, where the staff of a store has no authority to make you leave because of carry. This is irritating the living daylights out of me, and I'm about fed up with these people that are ignorant.

Mingo Valley Liquor has become suddenly unfriendly to carriers. Their staff is uneducated on the laws, refuses to read or see what the law states, and asked me to leave, rather than have a civil conversation. I am going to attempt to get in touch with the owner, but I don't have my fingers crossed. The employees, and "manager" are jerks, and won't even give me an address, or e-mail, or phone number to contact the owner. I will update if anything comes of this, but for now, the whole bunch of them are being quite obstinate. Like I said, they refused to even read the law.

Can Someone Please Explain Why Obamacare is Bad?

I don't claim to know anything, but it is my understanding that certain portions of this reform are good. For example, there is a prohibition next year on denying coverage based on pre existing conditions. That is the very reason I can't get affordable insurance right now. I'd like someone to explain the reform in easy to understand terms, and explain the pros and cons. Thanks a bunch guys and gals.
