Ok, I know no one really cares about this, but I do.

Anyone heard much about it? I know there's going to be a meeting here.

Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. at Sultan Middle School.

I hope this works, Then I wouldn't have to drive 40 miles to Arlington to go shooting.

This is a case of the County not having the money to develop the "Shooting Park" they've talked about for 20 years and now looking for private concerns to do the development. The proposed discussion is to see if there are any groups willing to form some form of Club (think Kenmore) to build and operate the range.

Actually, SnoCo doesn't have a magic wand to make all of the Sultan Basin off limits. If you read the ruling and see the maps, they've posted a few sites, like the old gravel pit, off limits, plus a swath 100 yds from the centerline of the main road. If you keep these limits in mind, many shooting spots are still legal up there.

I used to have a regular spot on the Sultan Basin Rd that was past the 100 yard limit, until I moved to, you guessed it, Arlington.
