My son just bought a Glock gen4 (.40) and he has already gotten his background check (yesterday) to obtain said weapon.

My question is since he has paid for the background check, is there a grace period whereas he will not have to get one when he gets his CCW?

Or is it per incident?

Thanks,
Jim

P.S. I know this is not a CW forum but I'm thinking you all would know.

They will do a background check automatically when they process the CCW. It is combined in with the CCW fees, and there is no provision I know to separate it out anyway.

If you buy a gun two days in a row, you will have to do a background check both days (even if from the same dealer), until you have the current CCW that exempts you. Please don't point out the idiocy of this.
