I agree with some of what they say. I do not agree with their "it's too late" and "overthrow the government" diatribes. I believe a stupid America has, quite selfishly (what's in it for ME, papa sam!) voted Santa Clauses into office who bleed our nation dry instead of tying off the bleeders and letting her regain her strength. I also believe that may have been a shortcoming of our Founding Fathers, blindsided as they were into believing nearly all Americans would forever possess both honor and integrity. Ben Franklin was no fool, knowing otherwise when he replied, "A Republic, if you can keep it." If he were still in a rocker today, he's be thinking, "Perhaps it was too much to ask the common man to make such important decisions as to who should represent them."
Despite their renegade tone, some of what their latest incarnation says makes good sense. They have been around for 16 years. The U.S. Government does fear them, and has classified them as terrorists, but why? Name one terrorist activity they've done? As a very keen student of the English language, I can say without any doubt whoever wrote their script is NOT of foreign birth. I can even place it in a general are of the U.S., based on dialect alone. I'm sure there's some linguist on staff within a three-letter agency who might be able to nail it to a particular country.
Regardless, why does our Government fear them? Just because they said, "overthrow the government?" Various groups of exceedingly few numbers have been saying this since the dawn of our country, and they didn't have a snowball's chance in hell. I see no "Anonymous" troops amassing, so I'm not understanding any fear of physical power, either.
Perhaps they're cyber-terrorists. Well, perhaps by definition, maybe. By action, not quite, as there are several things which define terrorism that are lacking, here, chief of which is action.
No, this is NOT a call for such! It is, however, a call for reason on the part of our government, to stop looking so hard for needles in the haystacks that you start seeing ghosts in the machine, to first learn, then learn to respect, our Constitution and our Constitutional rights, and how that makes us a far more powerful country than trampling on our rights in some pin-headed attempt to track down every need. To realize WE LOVE OUR COUNTRY, and we'll protect it, many of us to the point of death, and that a lot of our government's gyrations actually make that much more difficult, rather than easier. To understand our Founders considered ALL U.S. Citizens to be freemen, and all able-bodied men, women, and children capable of using arms to be militia.
Liberals, Democrats, and revisionist historians want to re-educate Americans into believing their "creation" is better than the real thing. Like the New Coke, however, Americans say "HELL NO!"
The ONLY thing that will restore our country to her proper foundations is a proper education, learning not only the what behind the decisions of our Founding Fathers, but the whys thereof. These lawyers, businessmen, and landed gentry probably spent two to seven times as much time studying the history of world governments, what worked, what didn't, and why, than your average elected politician today.
And I dare say, the general electorate were vastly more rational and less selfless than your average "American" of today. I'll even go so far as to so your average U.S. Citizen has less than half a clue as to what being an American is really all about than do most U.S. citizens who've gone through our nation's official citizenship program.
