This vote is not as much about the president, it is about who will rule the supreme court for the next 30-40 years. The president will appoint 2 lifetime justices this term. Obama will appoint 2 anti gun, anti constitution socialists if he is re elected. I don't like Mitt Romney, but he is the only one that really has a chance against Obama. Mitt will appoint justices that are more likely to protect our rights. If I had a choice, I would vote for Ron Paul, however, we need to remember that this term, we are really voting for the supreme court.

Remember 4 years ago we all heard how flawed John McCain's Second Amendment record was. No doubt many gun-owners sat out the last election for that very reason.

Well look what we got.

Something tells me that with Romney, the same damn thing is going to happen.

I've got a very uneasy feeling this time around.

I was going to vote for Ron Paul if he was on the ballet in November regardless of what party he was listed under until I read this. Now I'll probably vote for whoever is not Obama. Thanks for putting it in perspective.

For that reason, we have to not vote for a specific person, we must vote against Obama.

I am tickled pink to read this. Republicans running on the above will definitely lose in November.

I made a poster for our rallies:

Lets not forget that there is a confirmation process involved in appointing judges. Should Obama win then the repubs should be able to block or deny anyone unacceptable.

However, there is also a belief among the legislature that, barring something that would really disqualify someone, a president is entitled to the judges he wants. If the voters don't like that, then they should vote in a different president.

I will point out, though, that it appears more Republicans seem to believe this than Democrats.

My 2 cents:

In my mind it is like voting for which of the three stooges will do the silliest thing!

Both parties have been corrupted to the core in my honest opinion. Until we the people start putting our: money/effort/hearts and minds behind forming a new party free of clowns and puppets, our choices will always be between a social/elite agenda or a fascism/corporate agenda.

The law of this land is supposed to be the constitution, yet it is very clear that the law of this land is shifting to the golden rule: Those with the gold are making the rules. I have nothing against the rich I just despise those of them that use said wealth to attempt to rob me of my civil liberties.

Yes - I have a perfect voting record, it still doesn't keep me from having to drink a bottle of pepto bismal every time I go to the polls
