How to survive a school shooting

We did the lockdown drills, and watched a video on throwing the backpacks, etc.

But what if the shooter decides he's not there to talk, and opens the door shooting? I don't know of anybody who is going to stand up to throw a textbook in front of a bullet. bullets move faster than textbooks.
