I have just gotten out of Richard LeBlanc coffee hours and had a chance to ask him about pistol free zones. The long and the short of it is the committee chairman, John Walsh, doesn't feel it has the support he wants it to have. I have been told that if people call their representatives and have their representatives go to John Walsh the committee chairman. The bill will get out of the committee and go to the floor for a vote.

Thursday's bill won't be perfect -- but it will represent a major improvement over the status quo for very little give.

OK I signed up, but while I'm waiting for the E Mail, could you just tell us what the legislation is?

Sure -- it's SB-59 -- or some substituted form of it. What's in the substitute...I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you. ;)

Seriously -- I don't like the gag either.

Note: The substitute doesn't have to be anything like the original. It doesn't even have to touch the same laws the original addressed
