Thumbs up 12 states on path to guns with no permits

"Legislatures in a dozen states are considering laws that would eliminate requirements that residents obtain permits to carry concealed weapons."

Gun-control advocates view the efforts as part of a long-range strategy to eventually weaken gun laws across the country. But supporters say armed, law-abiding citizens prevent crime.

I wish WI would have been a leader in this. It would really have propelled this state FORWARD.

This line: "Legislatures in a dozen states are considering laws that would eliminate requirements that residents obtain permits to carry concealed weapons."
is a different color and is underlined which means it is a link to the story.

If the USAToday listing of South Carolina is a reference to their S3292 then it is a red-herring. SC H3292 is a cornucopia of poison-pill amendments by their NRA-affiliated legislators that has had no actin for nearly a year.

Same for UT. A Bill got started in the last legislative session, but died in committee. My guess is that the UT Legislature was more concerned about the millions in permit fees they take in than in the Rights of Citizens to Keep and Bear Arms.

oh no doubt it's the same for TN, considering they charge $115 a pop
