My real point was that the smug comments made by HankT ignore the Real World Facts(tm).
What, you mean cops?Oh, yeah. The "THEY-DON'T-MAKE-A-RETENTION-HOLSTER-FOR-MY-SPECIFIC-GUN" problem.
A problem, to be sure. Solvable, to be sure.
But please, the benefits greatly outweigh the solution costs for those problems.
Let's face it, there are hundreds of thousands of OCers out there today who use retention holsters. And most of those are MANDATED.
Any of those guys complaining?
They have a retention holster requirement now?Ah, I'm with you.
Maybe the lad thought I was a LEO. Well I WAS a LEO, but that was several years ago. We didn't have a retention holster requirement back then.
They have a retention holster requirement now?
Would be a good idea to have such a law. The vast majority of OCers today use retention holsters. The benefits are obvious and it's awfully hard for the pro-gun rights advocates to logically argue against the idea. Look for such laws to be enacted in the future.
I would favor a mandate for a retention holster for OC. Mucho benefits, little cost. No problem with 2A. Everybody wins.

He just went through a CCW class in Nye county and was drinking some of the CCW kool-aid.
However, the EAA Witness / Tanfoglio T95 is not on the list.
Sorry no help for your firearm, however that is why I said most, not all. A quality firearm for the money and easy interchangeable calibers allowing to practice with cheaper ammo. I guess not many use the Italian piece for every day carry. It would be cool to everyday carry it and have the occasional question come up as when I am out. What are you carrying, a Glock? Even as common as a Springfield XDM is most having no idea what it is. I like to see the looks after you said it is a Tanfoglio T95 10.
