I don't know of any Winchester Ranger 9mm 115gr bonded ammunition. The only two Ranger LEO bonded loads I know of are RA9B and RA9BA, 147gr and 124gr +P respectively. Do you have a catalog number? They do have two 115gr non-bonded JHP loads in their Ranger catalog: RA9115HP and RA9MMJHP. Could it be one of those?

You can get their famous RA9TA load (127gr +P+) at several places. Here are some links;

Thanks. I've searched all over and have come to the conclusion that they don't make a bonded bullet in 115gr. Oh well, 147 it is then. I guess you either go big or go home.

He might also wish to consider Speer Gold Dot 124gr JHP +P. #53617, which is a bonded bullet with a very good track record. In test media, this load seems to have a good rate of controlled expansion

There's a rumor floating out there that the Ranger ammo resembles the ol' Black Talon ammo when it expands. I don't want to say which mag article put it out there, but since then I've had problems locating the Ranger T Series in 357 Sig at $33 a box(price last purchased). Thankfully, I have plenty of it, but damn I hate that when it happens. Consequently, it's probably the best 9mm ammo on the market. I like Speer GHP, too.

Winchester Black Talon was replaced with Ranger SXT. Winchester claims that SXT means "Supreme eXpansion Technology" but we all knew it really meant "Same eXact Thing."

The progression was from Black Talon to Talon, to Ranger ST, to Ranger SXT, to to Ranger T-Series. The latest up-grade (3rd generation w/improved expansion) renews the usage of Ranger SXT I believe. Don't think I missed any of the tribe.

Opps, most forgot - now we have PDX1, bonded ammo.
