So Uncle Ted would rather have his/our rights taken away by the guy whose only redeeming value is that he is possibly just marginally not as bad as the other guy? Neither of them are going to do anything to improve the protection of 2A rights - at best it's a question of getting the bandaid taken off by a fast ripping or by peeling it slowly away.

Do you have another option that will ensure, come Wednesday morning, November 7th, 2012, that yours/his/mine, 2A right will be protected?

Another option than what?

I ensure my rights with my freedom and life. CH was right when he said, "From my cold, dead hands." If you don't want to live in a nation/world where they might come for your gun, then shoot to kill knowing that you are out numbered. Do your civic duty implicit in our civil rights.

Good to hear.

Except, you must use 'da man's' system of 'justice' (forum rule 15) to gain redress when 'da man' tramples your civil rights....or, you could defend your civil rights with your self-defense tool, even though you may be out numbered. If that is the route you choose, be comforted in the knowledge that you 'went out' defending your civil rights.

Ted is a draft dodger, or have you forgotten.
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=9a1_1250550290

And how is that relevant?

I may find his behavior personally offensive but that does not alter the fact that he was at one time a fine musician, or that at one time he may have held political opinions close to those I found pleasing and/or comforting.

The problem, as OCforME has pointed out in case you missed my pointing it out, is that neither of the major party candidates present a platform that makes one believe that the Second Amendment would be safe and secure under their administration, let alone via decisions coming from appointments they might make to SCOTUS.

No, I do not have any easy, simple, or even guaranteed fixes. But I'm getting tired of holding my nose when I vote. And I do what I can to convince both major parties to improve their offerings at the national level as well as at the local level. I know I am not the only voice in the wilderness, but all of us put together apparently are not yet enough to overcome. But that is no reason to roll over and surrender.

stay safe.

That's always been the choice regardless of the time, government or place.

Go along to get along or rock the boat. Humans have never had any other option.

I share many opinions with many people who I actually do not like. Ted is one of them. I think the way he goes about it is just stupid. I couldn't listen to it for more than a few minutes. I wish no one ill will, but I believe in changing the world through reason not force.

Skid, I agree with you that neither candidate will help our Second Amendment rights. I am just afraid that with four more years of Obama, 2016 will see us living in the "People's Socialist Republic of America". It kind of almost makes me hope the Mayan Calendar is right.

His active avoidance of military service defines his patriotism.
If you don't volunteer, you are actively avoiding military service. What he did is avoid service via a 1-Y medical deferment that the military assigned him, and a 2-S student deferment that he qualified for, just as a great many others did.

Calling OCers weirdos is the pot calling the kettle black. "Rocker Ted Nugent is scheduled for a court hearing in Alaska on Tuesday, when he is expected to plead guilty to transporting a black bear he illegally killed."

Apparently he didn't know the law existed. Really? When I hunt, I make sure I know the laws. When I OC, I know the laws.

Regardless of your opinion of Ted Nugent, the man is speaking pure unvarnished truth. Romney is far from perfect but Barack Hussein Obama is such a stinker that he MUST be driven from office.

Obama is a danger to more than just the second Amendment. He just takes a wizz all over the Constitution whenever it gets in his way, illegally declaring the Senate to be in recess to push through a "recess appointment", for example. And he basically gave the bird to the War Powers Act when he got us involved in the ouster of - how do you spell it? - Kaddafi.

Obama ia a zero. He's an inept bungling moron at best and a deadly threat to the very republic he purports to lead at worst. Our fighting men have never in the history of this nation had a worse commander in chief.

And he takes responsibility for nothing negative, declaring he "inherited" it from GW Bush, although he conveniently forgets that one of those inherited things was a AAA credit rating for these United States that was downgraded ON HIS WATCH.

Of all the things Ted said in his presentation, what got the attention of the media and the Secret Service was his statement that he would be "dead or in jail" if Obama is re-elected. I think I know exactly what he meant by that.

I believe Ted's meaning was that Obama poses such a threat, that if Ted were to keep speaking out, either some SEIU thugs would ambush him and kill him or Eric Holder would phony up some criminal charges to silence him. If you haven't noticed, one thing the Left is notable for is trying to silence their critics.

Mitt Romney is no prize. He's about as inspiring as a lukewarm mug of Sanka. But Obama is such a danger to this Republicc that he MUST be replaced.

And as always, pay attention to your representatives in the House and the Senate, where the REAL power dwells - at least for the time being, until Obama and the Left can engineer an American Politburo.

DON"T let it happen.

I was a Ted fan. I've watched a lot of his interviews. Kinda left a sour taste when he voiced his opinion about OCers, and used the "you'll be the first target" arguement to justify his position. I immediately threw up the BS flag.

You only get a couple of those before I begin to doubt everything you say. That's just MY opinion. And I don't present it as a fact as Ted does.

Regardless of what the rule book says, people do make mistakes! Didn’t he even admit avoidance of service was a mistake in his life? We all make mistakes! The man has done far done far more good in his life time than any of us could dream of doing. But I understand others will always seen the couple mistakes along the way, and discard the rest. I wonder if these are the same types that see no fault in Obama.

Let’s see, 10K fine, $600 for the bear, I bet the state spent far more than these two figures clearing up this plea for misdemeanor than AK tax payers would like to known.
