Hey fellas,

I bought a Stoeger (Beretta) Cougar 8040F about a month ago, have been carrying occasionally with my nylon thumb break holster but I'm looking for a nice Level II retention holster. The ONLY thing I've found so far is the Safariland which we use for our M9s. It fits in those perfectly, but not the Serpas for the M9. I really want one of those Safariland ALS holsters with the internal lock, but if there is something similar to a Serpa for my .40 I would appreciate some feedback. I know leather is always an option but obviously I wont get a retention button with that. Thanks everyone!

There HAS to be other people here that carry a cougar... I'm thinking about just getting a SafariLand ALS like we use for M9s. I know a police department or two have used these as their duty weapons, where are those holsters at?!

I used to have the Cougar 8000 (same size as 8040) and used a " Don Hume Jit Slide" holster for carry. Worked well, except there wasnt any thumb break or retention on it.
