God this is going to sound stupid. Should I have any reason to not leave both my clips full of ammo? The spring in the clip will not go bad being pressed down for days and weeks on hand? Just curious thanks

It will not. Read a bit of metallurgy - about springs.

The left is a magazine. The right is a clip.

Actually, the item on the RIGHT appears to be a "CHARGER". While they are sometimes referred to as "stripper clips", they are not "clips" in the "magazine versus clip" context.

Chargers are used to hold rounds so that they can be "stripped" into the Magazine but they do not enter the weapon

A "Clip" in the context of "Magazine versus Clip" is a piece which holds the ammunition and is inserted into the magazine or magazine well. The clip must be in the magazine or magazine well in order for the weapon to function and feed the ammunition.

You have been schooled.
