    DUI Checkpoint Lake Mead/Buffalo

I've always wanted to have a sign and warn people of the DUI checkpoint OC'ing. I was hoping some of us could do this one tonight, plus I need some guidance. I don't know how far I must stand from the checkpoint etc.

What? This isn't a grant period. How did they get the money?

Police are staging the checkpoint in the northwest because they've counted 175 drug or alcohol-related violations in the past 90 days.
Hmm, maybe they have some special deal where a grant kicks in after they hit their quota of 175.

I don't know how far I must stand from the checkpoint etc.
There's no such thing as a checkpoint. Nevada allows temporary roadblocks and administrative roadblocks, with strict definitions. Those definitions don't include boundaries or exclusion zones. Presumably, you are free to walk or stand on the sidewalk, but I have seen video of California police claim to close sidewalks to non-police pedestrians near their roadblock.
