    True Choice in our Elections?

“Cherish therefore the spirit of our people, and keep alive their attention. Do not be too severe upon their errors, but reclaim them by enlightening them. If once they become inattentive to the public affairs, you and I, and Congress, and Assemblies, judges and governors shall all become wolves.” Thomas Jefferson, 1787

We’re being devoured by Jefferson’s wolves today and it’s our fault.

Well, what can a man do in days like these? Not many safe and also effective things. Protest all you want. Write, email, fax and call all you want. Buy guns and every bullet they manufacture if you want. Plaster your body with shirts and your vehicle with bumper sticker. By all means, vote for the lesser of two evils. But be aware, none of these things will make them do more than slowly tighten the controls on the flock. None of these actions will change the fact that you are a slave. And that your children are being raised to be slaves.
For several months I have been compiling a longish post for my blog, Freedom First 1775, on the subject of our assumptions when it comes to “our” government and society. With the coming elections I believe this is a good time to release it.

I apologize for the length but I believe the content makes up for it. Visit a couple of times as you read through it. Please, as you love this land, spend the time to think about what I am saying and to decide for yourself where you stand on the subject.

Also, please let me know what you think by going ahead and commenting on the blog itself, good or bad. Family safe comments will always be posted.

The legitimacy of true Choice in our election process.
Freedom can never be lost, only given away by ignorance, by choice, or at the point of a gun. Here in America we can still choose.

It is our cause to dispel the foggy thinking which avoids hard decisions in the delusion that a world of conflict will somehow mysteriously resolve itself into a world of harmony, if we just don't rock the boat or irritate the forces of aggression—and this is hogwash."

George Carlin drives the point home:

Our "choices" in any election are limited by what the political machine offers us. Those choices have been so limited since 1800, and (if unchallenged) they shall be in perpetuity . Elections are about who - of the moneyed elite - can raise the most money to buy the nomination of their party. The average American citizen does not have the necessary political or financial connections, or the ability to successfully finance his/her own campaign. The odds are against a "write-in" or a 3rd party candidate simply because the vast majority of Americans have affiliated themselves with one of the two major political parties. This is where the numbers are, and it is (ostensibly) the numbers that win an election... barring the intervention of the Electoral College, which will correct us should the popular vote not be the candidate the EC desires. As long as there is an "Electoral College" the popular vote - YOUR VOTE - counts for nothing!

Now, what does any of this have to do with OC? In the upcoming election we will have to choose between one of two anti-2A candidates - NObama and Obama-lite. In either case it appears our government will continue to move doggedly (quickly or more slowly, but nonetheless unrelentingly) toward eliminating our Bill of Rights, emasculating our Constitution, and recreating the USA as a socialist state. OC and CC will probably be the first "rights" to fall, to be replaced by something along the lines of "with government permission only", thus ensuring self-protection rights of the elite - and their most generous contributors. The only unanswered question is... who does the EC want as president? Just my thoughts. Pax...

That is where we will have to stand up as men and say "No more. Not another inch." Time to put your signature line into effect...
