LOCAL meetings, May 2, 2012 in LaPlace and Shreveport

The next regular business meeting of Louisiana Open Carry Awareness League (LOCAL) will be Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 6:30pm at the LaPlace IHOP resturant, 220 Belle Terre Boulevard, LaPlace, LA 70068.
Also, there will be a Louisiana Open Carry Awareness League (LOCAL) meeting at the Shreveport, LA IHOP at 8010 Youree Dr. at 6:30 PM on May 2 for any and all interested area people. Elections of officers for the Shreveport Chapter are scheduled for this meeting.
Carry IS allowed at these meetings, both concealed and Open Carry, and you may carry or not as you choose. While these are LOCAL events, you do NOT have to be a LOCAL member to attend.
All LOCAL members and those interested in the right to Open Carry are strongly encouraged to attend.

LOCAL Meetings in Shreveport and Laplace tommorrow night. If you are in driving distance plan on attending. The LaPlace meeting will be at the IHOP at 229 Belle Terre Blvd at 6:30pm. League officers will be discussing bylaws as well as possibly tradmarking LOCAL in addition to other business. We continue to recuit members and encourage other responsible citizens to join LOCAL. Membership is $20 a year and you can join up via the LOCAL website. Officers will be elected to the newly forming NorthWest Chapter there. To hold office or to vote for an officer you have to be a paid LOCAL member.
