Article.

"Police had high praise for gun carrying man who ended the hysteria. Lt. Brian Purvis said, "This was a volatile situation that could have gotten worse. We can only assume from what we saw it could have gotten worse. He was definitely in the right place at the right time."

"Dozens of other shoppers, who too could have become victims, are also thankful for the gun carrying man."

This story will get no national attention for a number of reasons.

1) the gun owner had a lawful CC permit
2) the gun owner acted in a prudent, lawful and level-headed manner, and there are TONS of witnesses to his lawful actions, so the media can't speculate,
3) the "accused" was Asian, so this incident can't be used to whip up racial divisiveness and be used as fuel for the race-pimps,
4) no shots were fired--the MERE PRESENCE of a firearm defused the sistuation and brought the violent attacks to an end.

This incident flies in the face of everything the media would have people believe with regards to lawful carry, and therefore they will NOT report it. This is a textbook case demonstrating everything good, righteous and lawful about the RKBA, and therefore it is useless as fuel for the "antis", and cannot be used for race-baiting, fanning the flames of the "fear culture", or demonizing gun owners.

The silence in the national media on this story speaks volumes about their true agenda. You would think that they would be ALL OVER this story--bad guy does bad things, good guy stops it, nobody is hurt by anyone (except the bad guy), no laws were broken, and the good guy is praised by local LEOs and fellow citizens for his bravery and level-headed action.

But because it can't be used to propagate fear, hatred, or racial tension, this story will essentially be "memory holed"...

First thing that came to mind when I read the title was the Tokyo stabber guy.

3) the "accused" was Asian, so this incident can't be used to whip up racial divisiveness and be used as fuel for the race-pimps,

"Asian" takes in a lot of real estate. This particular Asian is a Vietnamese, 34-year old Kiet Thanh Ly, who is not Caucasian, so the "race-pimps" could have had a field day with the report. But... Ly was the perpetrator, not the victim, and his victims were Caucasian, so it couldn't have possibly been racially motivated, could it? Everybody knows that all racists are fair-skinned! Or, so the media would have the world believe.

The "bottom line" is that some racist gun-toter stopped the stabbings, and the racist, jack-booted police thugs [] arrested Ly and charged him with 2 counts of 1st Degree Felony Attempted Murder and 4 counts of 3rd Degree Felony Assault charges. According to later news reports, "Ly later told police that he stabbed the people because voices in his head told him to "kill the people who killed our people." (I guess that well-worn "I'm a nut-job" excuse will have all the bleeding-heart, left-wing, socialist-"progressives" out in front of the courthouse with signs reading, "Flee Ry, He Not Climinal - he CLAZY!" and "Our Government Ordered The Killing of Vietnamese People - THEY Are Responsible For Ly's Actions".) BS!:banghead: (They can always just ignore the fact that Ly wasn't born until 5 years after the Vietnam war ended, and therefore had no personal knowledge of that war - and no resulting PTSD) Pax...

This is very good. I passed the link to the article on and passed it on to a couple anti's with a comment just to see what they have to say.
