Actually, guys like us that would wear the helmet much of the time make for good activists. When the law is repealed, it provides proof that "choice" does not automatically mean "refusal" as the nannies would like to infer.

I prefer the wind in my hair, and I prefer the much safer greater visibility of no helmet, but I can't stand the wind in my face.

My biggest gripe about helmets is the fatigue. A helmet greatly increases the wind resistance of my head, and causes significant neck pain on long rides.

This is a perfect time to make a fat head joke, but I'll refrain.
