The nearest one to me is 90 minutes away so I won't be attending. If it matters, those who attend should point out that the law just spells out common law and the legal precedent of most other states in the union. It's a good law and there is nothing to see here.

I spoke with the Chief of Staff for the Lt. Governor, who stated that the 10/16 task force meeting will be the last to have expert subject matter presentations (NRA, USF, Florida Carry). The last meeting will take place in November in Pensacola, and will be an abbreviated meeting to allow the task force to begin compiling their report.

They couldn't of pick a worst place to have this meeting found this on the internet:

In 2010, First Coast News set out to find Jacksonville's most dangerous neighborhood, analyzing crime data gathered from the JSO.

According to the results of their investigation, the most dangerous area in Jacksonville is located in Jacksonville's Northside, right around the 1000 block of Kings Rd. This area is near Edward Waters College.

Very, very odd choice too. With FCJ not even 3/4 mi. to the east...2 things come to mind: Corrine Brown, and riot..
