It sounds to me like GOAL is a very compromised organization. They brush off all the negative parts of the bills because they have one positive.

    So you'll be voting Obama?

On a national stage Romney has assured Second Amendment policy makers their agenda is embraced on a National Stage.

What could you achieve more than Romney in MA?

No, you misunderstand! haha. My comment was about GOAL, not about Romney. I have heard Romney say (and I believe that he believes this) that he believes gun control to be a state issue. He believes that gun control at the national level is not Constitutional and that he won't stand for further gun laws at the national level. Having said that, I think that personally gun control is low on his priority list and he won't push for repeals of existing laws either. He is much better than Obama, but I don't expect him to revolutionize firearms laws in this country. At this point I honestly think that Congress is broken and that the only way to fix the laws is through repeals by the Supreme Court.

Court is the last place on the planet to look forward to relief. Legislation is the place to be.

Everything became a 'state issue' to Romney when he ditched all of the values he had proven he had as governor and took to the national stage.

The same legislation that passed two conflicting laws making Maine's gun laws all messed up and now refuses to fix their mess? I don't think they have any idea what they're doing. They take something infinitely simple and make it bloated and impossible.

I wouldn't look very hard. He's a HELL of a lot better than Obama.
The First protects the Second, and the Second protects the First. Together, they protect the rest of our Bill of Rights and our United States Constitution, and help We the People protect ourselves in the spirit of our Declaration of Independence.

Please, explain to me this arbitrary argument that Romney is better than Obama. Is it the trillions of dollars spent in support of the auto bailouts, the "too big to fail" banks, or the stimulus spending. Because I can assure you that both men support both. Or is it the abortion issue? Well, we probably don't know where Romney ACTUALLY stands on it because when he was running for governor in Mass, when I lived there before joining the Marines, he was very pro-choice. Maybe it's that Obamacare that's unconstitutional. Thank god Romney provided the blueprint. Or is it the continuing of perpetual war by building up his advisors with neo-Conservatives who want nothing but perpetual war (but have never actually gone themselves) with Iran, even though there is no evidence that Iran is even close to obtaining a nuclear weapon. Sounds like 2003 all over again in Iraq.

Don't take this comment as my support for Obama, because he is the last candidate I would ever vote for. But PLEASE, stop trying to fool yourselves that Romney is a conservative. What are they going to argue at the debates? Who is less liberal? That's where we are at. I've been a life long Republican and have always voted to whoever has a (R) next to their name. After this primary season, I've left the Republican party for good until they change their party platform with ACTUAL limited government and individual liberty. Until then, good luck with your Governor. Semper Fi.

Politicans play to the audience at hand...

Playing to the crowd in front of oneself is why politicians are so mercurial, and absolutely love the Washington doublespeak. Trying to get a straight yes-or-no, "I do" or "I don't" answer from a politician, is like trying to nail Jello the the wall... it "ain't gonna happen".

I see Romney as "Obama Lite", since there's only about a dimes worth of difference in the majority of their attitudes toward "social issues". Suddenly Romney is a strong supporter of 2A? He never did respond to a short questionnaire the CCRKBA (or maybe it was NAGR?) sent to all the candidates to verify their positions on 2A. Last I heard, the only respondent was Ron Paul, whose answers indicated he was 100% behind 2A as written. Too bad he won't be the candidate (but, realistically, a successful candidate must have generally acceptable positions on more than one issue).

My position on the upcoming election, is that I would vote for almost anybody who runs against Obama. As captain of our "Ship of State", Obama has failed to demonstrate either positive leadership or fiscal responsibility. He has traveled the world begging for forgiveness for our successes, and has diminished our standing among world leaders. Obama has filled his cabinet with Communists, Marxists, Socialists, etc - anybody that did not believe in the "American way". Their plan is to destroy the successful America that took only 200 years to build (Google "Cloward-Piven Strategy of Orchestrated Crisis"), dwarfing countries that had existed for a millennium or more. He, personally, has become a laughingstock - a running joke - around the world, and, by extension, so has the USA. We need a leader with b***s of steel, not aluminum foil, and one who has the best interests of the country at heart - not just those of "the party" or his financial backers. Unfortunately, it appears that Ob's competition is unable to find such a candidate. Nonetheless, I wouldn't vote for NObama if the punishment for not doing so was death! (Where's Pat Paulsen when we really need him? Still dead after 16 years, and not expected to recover!) Pax...

By b***s of steel, are you referring to sending more troops into needless, undeclared, and unconstitutional wars to show our military might, but weakening our national defense? So that more combat troops can come home and be put on prescriptions that have suicide listed as a side effect? Or creating more false flags to go to war with countries that are no threat to our national defense, like Iran? (Which was done in the Gulf of Tonkin and Iraq) I've yet to hear a solid argument from anyone on why Iran is such a threat, but according to Democrats and Republicans alike, we MUST go to war. Again, from chickenhawks who never served in the military, or better yet got deferments when their time was called.

In a word,no. However, aluminum foil folds much too easily. This is how our present "leader" - and by extension our people - is viewed by the world (as succinctly stated by a citizen of the Czech Republic)...
The danger to America is not Barack Obama, but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America . Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools, such as those who made him their president.
Nosie O'Donnell and George Looney are among those who love "false flag" theories. Although "false flags" have been used (if not documented) by people since the beginning of both personal and community/national conflicts, not all confrontations are based upon false flags. There is evil in this world. For example, the U.N. (which desires control of the world), and those who believe Islam must rule the world, and who will use any and all means available to them in order to reach that goal.

And this divergent discussion is related to OC/RKBA in what fashion? Pax...

Yes what danger could be posed by an insane theocracy (Who by the way stormed our embassy, and took the staff hostage, remember that?, and also actively supports the terrorists in Iraq with more terrorists, weapons, supplies, intelligence, and money.) that wants to behead all "infidels", and is run by a whack job who has stated that he wants to destroy the united states, and Israel, and bring about the apocalypse POSSIBLY pose with a nuclear weapon.....

Are you really that stupid? Do you believe that if we just pull out all our forces, close our bases, abandon our allies, and never intervene that the rest of the world will somehow leave us alone? What color is the sky in your world? You sound just like a liberal.
