A medical report compiled by the family physician of accused Trayvon Martin murderer George Zimmerman and obtained exclusively by ABC News found that Zimmerman was diagnosed with a "closed fracture" of his nose, a pair of black eyes, two lacerations to the back of his head and a minor back injury the day after he fatally shot Martin during an alleged altercation.

Zimmerman faces a second degree murder charge for the Feb. 26 shooting that left the unarmed 17-year-old high school junior dead. Zimmerman has claimed self defense in what he described as a life and death struggle that Martin initiated by accosting him, punching him in the face, then repeatedly bashing his head into the pavement.

Also today, a trove of documents are being examined by lawyers for both the defense and prosecution as part of discovery in Zimmerman's trial -- including 67 CDs worth of documents, video of Martin on the night of the shooting, his autopsy report and videos of Zimmerman's questioning by police.

The morning after the shooting, on Feb. 27, Zimmerman sought treatment at the offices of a general physician at a family practice near Sanford, Fla. The doctor notes Zimmerman sought an appointment to get legal clearance to return to work.

The record shows that Zimmerman also suffered bruising in the upper lip and cheek and lower back pain. The two lacerations on the back of his head, one of them nearly an inch long, the other about a quarter-inch long, were first revealed in photos obtained exclusively by ABC News last month.

But the report also shows Zimmerman declined hospitalization the night of the shooting, and then declined the advice of his doctor to make a follow-up appointment with an ear nose and throat doctor.

In addition to his physical injuries, Zimmerman complained of stress and "occasional nausea when thinking about the violence." But he was not diagnosed with a concussion. The doctor noted that it was "imperative" that Zimmerman "be seen with [sic] his psychologist for evaluation."

According to the report, prior to the shooting Zimmerman had been prescribed Adderall and Temazepam, medications that can cause side effects such as agitation and mood swings, but in fewer than 10 percent of patients.

A neighbor told ABC News that the day after the shooting he saw Zimmerman as he spoke to officers outside his home. He too recalled seeing black eyes and significant swelling -- as well as a bandage over his nose.

Moments after the shooting Zimmerman told eyewitnesses he shot Martin in self defense. He later told officers his head was being pounded into the pavement and that he feared for his life, but that it was only when Martin seemed to reach for the gun wedges in his waistband that Zimmerman drew his weapon and fired directly into Martin's chest -- killing him.

If the facts in the story are all correct, I'm not sure why the judge is still going through with this. I do realize there is potentially more to the story; but, more and more info substantiates Zimmerman's story; hence, the SYG defense seems more solid.

Sounds like Mr. Zimmermans counsel should pursue some form of recompense for unlawful prosecution under Florida law. Maybe follow this cherry up with a lawsuit to Spike Lee. :>

I think that the response of the Martins' lawyer will be that you should be able to get somebody down on the ground and beat the snot out of them without fear of getting shot.

In most places that's going to be a rather tough sell...

No Martins' lawyer justification is that T.Martin was fighting for his life because the so called aggressor G.Zimmerman had a gun on him. Which is a load of crap. If a jury hears that and buys it, I would call for a mistrial. If anybody can honestly say that they would throw fist when somebody has a gun pointed at them, should be deemed criminally insane. Furthermore if G.Zimmerman had is gun pointed at T.Martin how did T.Martin cause so much damage before a shot was fired? Just as we all suspected this case is starting to go more and more in G.Zimmerman's favor. G.Zimmerman should have a good chance of getting some good reimbursement for all fees and monies lost during this all $*** Show.

Not so fast.
Martin was shown to have suffered abrasions and lacerations on his knuckles.
This leads us to the inescapable conclusion that Martin was acting in self defense as Zimmerman ravaged the hapless youngun's fists with his face. :banghead:

In fact, Martin was not "unarmed," as he is commonly portrayed in mainstream media. Martin was, in fact, armed with Zimmerman's head, with which he repeatedly used to assault the defenseless concrete sidewalk, ultimately rendering it unconscious shortly before the police arrived. In fact, the sidewalk remained motionless through the establishment and investigation of the crime scene. It is not known whether the sidewalk was actually unconscious the entire time, or whether it was merely incapacitated. Crime scene photos reveal a considerable amount of blood on the sidewalk, indicating it's injuries ranged from moderate to severe. Subsequent photos revealed a lack of blood, yet the sidewalk remains motionless, and specialists have been called in to determine the extent of paralysis, if any.

While friends of the sidewalk are calling for further investigation into this horrifying aspect of the case, the special prosecutor in Jacksonville, FL, Florida has inexplicably declared she will be filing additional charges in defense of the sidewalk, not against Martin, who assaulted the sidewalk, but against the tool he used in his assault against the sidewalk: Zimmerman's head.

Stay tuned for further details...

In fact, Martin was not "unarmed,"...Martin was, in fact, armed with Zimmerman's head,
He was armed with left and right hands. And as noted in the autopsy there were skinned knuckles on the left and right, from impacting Z's head and face no doubt.

Still the dispatcher told him not to follow and he got out of his truck. Z was complacent and negligent and the whole thing could have been avoided. He may not be guilty of murder, but he is definitely guilty of being stupid and should be prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter.

If you are not trolling, then I would recommend that you review the transcript of the 911 call. Your conclusion is based on at least 3 factual mistakes.

Only three? His conclusion(s) could be based on a complete fantasy and it would not matter. It is not about the law any more for some folks, it's about 'justice'.

I'm just counting factual errors in the first sentence. the rest was opinion, An opinion based on factual errors is pretty worthless.
