Age Restrictions on Long-Gun Vehicle Carry? And an introduction

Hello, I'm Michael, I am new to the forum, so please be patient with me as i get acquainted with the site!

    My question is:
I am 16 years old, clean record, regular graduated driver's license; no hunting permit ATM. Can I legally carry my shotgun in my car (going back and forth to buddies' houses to skeet shoot, etc.)?
And, well, not just shotguns, but any long-guns.
I am pretty sure that you don't need a CCW permit in AL to carry a long gun in your vehicle. But, am not aware of any age-related regulations.
Me, being a minor, can i still carry my shotgun in my car?

And if so, what are the regulations as far as the condition, location, location of ammo, etc.?

    Thanks bunches!

I don't know of any section of law that prohibits it, but it's probably best to defer that one until age 19.

    Go to http://alisondb.legislature.state.al...SLoginFire.asp
Click on the "Code of Alabama" Tab,
Go to the "Title 13A" link
Go to the "Chapter 11" link
    Scroll down to Article 3.
    Read all of Article 3.
Consult your legal guardian(s)/lawyer for legal advice not the internet.
Don't believe any facts that I say! This is the internet and it is filled with lies and untruth. I invite you to look up for yourself the basic facts that my arguments might be based upon. This way we can have a discussion where logic and hints on where to find information are what is brought to the forum and people look up and verify facts for themselves.

That's the biggie. Ask a lawyer for legal advice.

Also, do yourself a favor and go watch these:

Also, go to http://www.google.com/ and type in "scholar". Click on "Google Scholar". Then type some topic of interest, for example "unconcealed pistol". Select "Legal Documents". Click on the magnifying glass icon. When the results load, select "Alabama Courts" from the sidebar on the left.

    Knowledge is power.
