Age Restrictions on Long-Gun Vehicle Carry? And an introduction

Hello, I'm Michael, I am new to the forum, so please be patient with me as i get acquainted with the site!

My question is:
I am 16 years old, clean record, regular graduated driver's license; no hunting permit ATM. Can I legally carry my shotgun in my car (going back and forth to buddies' houses to skeet shoot, etc.)?
And, well, not just shotguns, but any long-guns.
I am pretty sure that you don't need a CCW permit in AL to carry a long gun in your vehicle. But, am not aware of any age-related regulations.
Me, being a minor, can i still carry my shotgun in my car?

And if so, what are the regulations as far as the condition, location, location of ammo, etc.?

I don't know of any section of law that prohibits it, but it's probably best to defer that one until age 19.
