Police say a man was pistol-whipped during a carjacking in South Seattle early this morning.Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of York Road South just before 12:30 a.m. on a report of a stolen Chrysler Sebring, according to Seattle Police Department spokesman Jeff Kappel. The victim was apparently parking his car near his home when he noticed two men parked about 200 feet away in a newer-model Volvo. One of the men approached and demanded his keys, police said.One of the suspects struck the man in the face with a gun, and the victim gave up his car keys, police said. The victim told officers that the man who struck him took off in his car; the second man drove away in the Volvo.Police and Seattle Fire Department medics were called, the victim was treated for a large bump on his head. The victim is described as being a man in his 30s.The suspects and the two vehicles have not been found.Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 911 or Seattle Police.
