You can, and I have, but I also got to have a conversation with the nice TSA officers. It was quick and they were professional but they still wanted to talk with me. Just you know.

I stood 40' from the checkpoint at DTW to pick up a friend. A few female TSA agents gave me nasty looks, but that was it.

Well I have OC'd there as well and talked with TSA, the Sheriffs officers and was allowed to go about on my way with no issue.
