Would there have been no incident if the victim was OC at the time? Would the thugs thought better of it?

I think Chief John Venuti's recommendation is you walk in pairs, be aware of your surroundings and call 911 as soon as you find a cell phone that wasn't stolen in the robbery and presuming you are still able to speak.

VCU-PD will take a report, but will not enter it into their stats........it happened off campus, maybe on the sidewalk or between the buildings.

One would think a BG would find these Schools great places to mug people as they have an almost 100 percent chance that the victims are not armed and not likely to fight back. If the victims walk in pairs then the BG can double his profits.

I love how the educated think.

That area is a hell hole anyway Doc.
The chances of running across someone who IS armed is pretty good. The students, who will NOT be armed, stand out and are easy targets.

The new student housing on the other side of Broad will be worse. It's being built on the edge of one of the Projects.

This incident occurred on a city sidewalk in the 600 block of W. Grace St. To the south a VCU parking lot, no the north a gas station soon to be the new Fine Arts building. It may be a false report due to a camera in the are did not pick up anything.

That may be were the "suspicious" comes into play. Was a false report perhaps filed?
