I know if I was spending 3 grand I could get a vault. If I still want to buy guns this is my budget. And how the heck do I get it in my garage when using free curbside delivery? No stairs, just like 50 ft of driveway.

I moved mine on a regular dolly .. all 600# of it .. and down stairs too. How much does yours weigh....

790# got a great deal on a big horn at Costco...wow...I have a 800 pound appliance dolly...I guess that might do it? I'd rather not get squashed by a safe

If you need big, get one of the Chinese ones from a big box store.

If you don't need something huge and can spend for quality rather than quantity, check out sturdysafe.

http://www.sturdysafe.com/model2419.htm

Its not huge, but its made out of 7ga steel and has a commercial quality S&G lock.

With fire protection, its $1690 delivered. No sales tax.

You can get bigger safe's cheaper. I'd bet you that your large safe is not nearly as secure as that little safe.

This $3500 browning, and most others like it in that price range use a 10 ga body.

The little sturdy safe uses a 7 ga (3/16") body and a solid 5/16 plate door. This is considerably thicker than most gun safes which use 11 ga steel for the body.

Its the best bang for the buck I know of if you value security. If you want big, with fancy paint and a tacticool interior, then sturdy is not even in the running.
