    SCOTUS Strikes Down HealthCare Law...

Just messing with ya! They affirmed the Law--for the most part. There were a couple of provisions that were taken issue with.

Looks like President Obama won this match.

Happy Thursday all! President Obama 2012.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/29/us...d.html?_r=1&hp

WASHINGTON – The Supreme Court on Thursday largely let stand President Obama’s health care overhaul, in a mixed ruling that court observers were rushing to analyze.

Now that it has been determined to be constitutional, we can get to the task of moving it toward single payer (which it should have been from the start, IMHO).

This is such BS. Its not a tax, but it is a tax. If you support this, don't complain when they march you into the gas chamber.

The did not rule that the ACA is constitutional. The ACA is a tax and the court will not and can not tell congress that it can not lay a tax. Art. I, Sec. 8.

As a tax, the ACA can be raised like any other tax.

I feel this has taken us a step closer to the next revolution. I was had hope I wouldn't see it in my life time but it looks like I will.

The Goverment is out of control (both parties) and our freedoms are being stripped one by one. This gives the goverment a free hand on what they can tell the average American what they "have to buy".

What is preventing the goverment from saying you have to buy their food, their electricity...another step toward socialism in my option.

The goverment is slowly turning this country into crap and not just under this president; this one has just switched it into high gear and stepped on the gas.

Don't buy health insurance.....pay the tax once a year.....get sick.....buy health insurance (yearly premium divided by 12) to get well....don't pay the 11 other premium payments....lose health insurance....pay the tax....repeat as required.

You may not know this, but Kagan was placed on the bench by Odumba*s. Kagan was solicitor general when this bill was introduced, which means she was involved in the process with the administration and by law should have excused herself from this case. Now, we all know Kagan did not do this, and ruled in favor of the law she helped get where it is. This shows how truly ridiculous and un-ethical our current president and his supreme court nominations are. If this had been a republican justice the libretards would have been marching on Washington moaning and crying because they didn't get their socialistic way. I am tired of this gangster administration and their unlawful ways, and I am truly devastated that my children will have to deal with a country that is broke and void of all the liberties it was founded with because of what one man and his cronies have done to my country. Obummer must go, and his gross negligent cabinet.

If you are personally responsible enough to already have health insurance, this will not affect you in the least. If you don't have health insurance, take a little personal responsibility and obtain some so the rest of us don't have to pay your ER cost. The idea that providing more Americans with health care is grounds for armed revolution is just sick.

Just talked to some Doctors here a few minutes ago. They are not going to see any of these Obama care patients and are going into "elite care". They said they will sign up 900 patients only. Each patient will pay $2,000.00 a year to be able to be seen in a timely manner like the present system, not like the common Obama care level people who will have to wait months and years to get things done. That's almost two million a year upfront if you go Elite! Wow! I wouldn't think that would be legal. Who's going to be left to care for the millions added to the system in a few years?

Revolution? When? Look at what has happened to this country and everyone just sets back and moans and groans. We won't do anything; I no longer have faith in this country to do what is right. We have seen the worst deprivation of our liberties and the destruction of our constitution in the past several years, and we have done what? Nothing! I agree with you that it is time for a revolution, past time actually, but this country is no longer filled with brave patriots as it was when this nation was founded. This country is now filled with computer warriors who set at home eating their frozen dinners and bi*ch at the news station on television while holding their AR in their lap saying "It's time we fight back!" Then they go to bed, wake up, and do it all over again. This country is brainwashed, and the government has been doing it for years, not just under Obummer. American's set and watch our government indvade country after country and think "I don't want any part of that, I will just deal with the slavery."

This country went to war with the British over taxation without representation. Yes there were other issues (like the boston massacre, which it turned out really wasn't a massacre at all), but the taxation is what started the whole revolution, yet here we are at a day in age when the very document millions have died to protect is being destroyed and we watch and wait for complete tyranny. I didn't like Bush, Clinton, Bush or most of the others either, but Obummer has destroyed every aspect of our country at a pace that far exceeds that of any other administration. Fast and Furious is one of the worst acts our government has ever committed, yet nothing has been done about this flawed attempt to destroy our 2nd Amendment rights that has killed hundreds of people in the process and will continue to do so.

It is obvious that our government has been owned by the globalists for some time now, and they are executing the final stages of their plan under this president. It isn't hard to do a little research and discover the truth, but most people would rather believe every word the MSN networks say and anything else is a lie. These people fail to realize 90% of the major news networks are owned by the globalist elites and are bias to their cause.

I do believe this country is on the verge of something very big, I just don't know what that is. Hopefully we will act in time to save this country, but from what I see from the majority of the people, that won't happen.

It's not about heathcare it is about the process they used to force this through, the fact the goverment is FORCING Americans to do something that they shouldn't be able to do.....its not a tax but is a tax thing, can you explain that one?

As for heathcare it will affect all Americans. Since the govement can "tax" as the SCOTUS said what is preventing them from increasing it, insurance companies will continue to raise premiums on those of us that do pay, those that don't pay probably will just stop filing taxes....oh wait the goverment will hire more IRS agents to go after people for not buying the goverment mandated insurance.

Most Heathcare people are against this crap also, and the unions and goverment workers are exempt...if it is so good why is congress and the pres exempt?

This opens the door for the feds to say to abide by 2A, every citizen must purchase a firearm or be fined..er...uh...levied a tax.

Or that you must buy a Chevy Volt, or donate to a particular political party or be taxed. Hmmm...wonder how that's gonna work out.

This only proves that we have at least 6 morons on the supreme court...and one of them is the head honcho.

Ok, you gripe about the fact that taxpayers are currently paying poor people's medical bills, yet you think this act is a good idea? You do realize we will still be paying for these people's medical care right, we will just be paying more. If you can't afford the health insurance, it will be purchased for you. So now we will be paying for roughly 40,000,000 more than we are now. The reason this could cause an armed revolution has nothing to do with providing some poor soul with health insurance, it is the fact that the federal government has officially destroyed our Federal Constitution by fining Americans if they fail to purchase health insurance from a PRIVATE company. Now they can mandate that we buy anything! Perhaps you like your Ford or Chevy pick-up, and you want to continue to purchase them. The government steps in (because now they can) and says everyone must buy foreign manufactured electric cars or we will be fined. Would you agree with that too? Because now there is nothing stopping the federal government from forcing us to do whatever they deem fit. I believe this was just a test for what is to come. They get the gullible Americans to believe this law is actually good for the majority (Utilitarianism, Socialist) and then comes the rest. We are no longer a constitutional republic, we are a socialist wasteland. Individual rights now officially mean nothing! The constitution was officially destroyed today by the highest court in the country. Our only hope is to have our individual states assert their rights, and nullify this mandate for their citizens. People seem to forget that if there is not something that explicitly authorizes the federal government to do something in the constitution, then they can't do it. It is a power of the states if it isn't mentioned in the constitution or prohibited by it. But that no longer matters, because our constitution is officially dead!

So, exactly how does a unemployed citizen take some personal responsability and buy private health insurance?

I will vote for Paul regardless, because I am not a TRAITOR to my country! I respect individual rights, and I have a great deal of respect for the millions who have gave the ultimate sacrifice (dying alone and in pain with no one around they love) to defend this country and what makes her great. I respect the republic that was founded by the brave men who were tired of oppression and tyranny. We are more oppressed now than ever before, and some believe it is for the best. If you folks like socialist countries, then move to a socialist country; don't try making my country that was founded on the belief of individual freedoms a dump like they are.

Won his match? It's just been shown that he signficantly raised taxes on the middle class... something he said he wouldn't do. He's a liar plain and simple.
