    John Lott writes about what a balancing test will mean for Maryland's carry laws in light of Wollard v. Sheridan. Quite the interesting read.

    While the article focuses on Maryland's case, the implications are sufficient IMHO to put this here instead of coinfining it to the Maryland forum.

    It is an interesting read. It would be nice if Md. would catch up with the rest of us. (most anyway)

    Lott's "balancing test" appears to show that the end result of carry laws continues to tilt the scales heavily in our favor... which is not all that new. For years, various studies have shown that as carry laws are enacted by the states, there is a significant reduction in violent crime within those same states. (However, Lott does present some unique [as in: "I haven't seen them before"], interesting and enlightening statistics.) Pax...
