The way this story was explained to me by a co-worker, before I read the article, is that this place is posted and obviously the perp ignored the sign but so apparently did the customer who shot the perp in the head.
I think it is interesting that while he was technically guilty of misdemeanor trespass (assuming he saw the sign and ignored it) that he will not be charged.
Hopefully this incident will reveal to store owners how pointless a "no guns" sign really is and how lucky those present (aside from the perp) were that an armed citizen was present.
