Municipalities that have removed signs and or changed ordinances

I am working on a presentation and would like information on other municipalities that have changed their policies/ordinances and or removed.

Thanks in advance for the input.

Eastpointe, Rochester and Macomb Twp all removed illegal, outdated ordinances.

Montrose Township changed parks and cemetery ordinances and park sign.

    Thomas Township changed parks ordinance.

Taymouth Township changed parks sign to compliance.

    Bridgeport Township changed parks ordinance.

    Spaulding Township changed parks ordinance.
Gun control isn't about the gun at all.... for those who want gun control it is all about their own fragile egos, their own lack of self esteem, their own inner fears, and most importantly... their own desire to dominate others. And an openly carried gun is a slap in the face to all of those things.

    Ferndale, famous for MCRGO's case.

Less known for later having to be put in their place again in regards to purchase permit issuance.

The complete and utter truth can be challenged from every direction and it will always hold up. Accordingly there are few greater displays of illegitimacy than to attempt to impede free thought and communication.

A quick follow up search of Mt. Pleasant's ordinances show their park's ordinance has been changed.

Taylor - however being what they are - - - - - - -, the new ordininance is nearly as bad / confusing as the old one. If you notice Dougwg's avatar - that's Taylor's lawyer stating on the record that what the city paid him $1,200 to write was NOT what they posted.

Giving up civil rights for security is a certain way to lose both!

Ionia's Bertha Brock PArk is in the middle of changing the Park rules to remove a ban on firearms. It has notbeen posted as yet, but we have an email from the park manager giving us the new wording.

    Kalamazoo County

Parks have had rules changed reflected to be in compliance with MCL 123.1102.

Signs may or may not have been updated, but they are aware they are unenforceable since 2009.

The Oakland County Records now has a smaller sign, the older big one is gone. I have walked past it OC in the past, once, a clerk laughed as she commented how few people obey the sign.

2009 South Haven removed Cemetery and Parks rules and corrected signs. Library was prevented from enacting rules.

2009 Lawrence removed offending verbiage from several ordinances during codification.

2010 Coloma Township removed language from parks signs that inferred firearms were included in projectile launcher ban.

2009 Coloma Glad Peach festival updated language on rules signs and webpage
Anything I post may be my opinion and not the law... you are responsible to do your own verification.

Blackstone (1753-1765) maintains that "the law holds that it is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer."
