If you are open, you want to be seen, antis are going to be uncomfortable either way. Better to carry then not. You can get a Serpa for 30 to get you going.

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. I carry now using a Galco Royal Guard IWB, great for concealed. I also wear the miami rig under a shirt on occasion. Just dont open carry atm, building up my nerve I guess.

no worries, Mainly trying to get comfortable with the idea of carrying open in general and being able to carry in PFZ open with a CPL seems to be a good idea as well. Perhaps setting up a buddy system for newbies like myself would be a possibility, just a thought.
