Australias Prim Minister, Julia Gillards Fail!

Australias Prime Minister, Julia Gillards Fail!

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Julia Gillard's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Julia Gillard's plan"…All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.

The second test average was a D! No one was happy.
When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that. (Please pass this on)
Remember, there IS a test coming up. The 2013 elections.....if not beforehand with the way the Government is going!!!!
These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:

    1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

    2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

    3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

    4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

    5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Can you think of a reason for not sharing this? Neither could I.
When a criminal invades your home and has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.

My Definition of Gun Control: The idea that dozens of people found dead in the Broadway Café, Tasmania, and many also seriously wounded, all while waiting for police, who were called to show up and protect them, is somehow morally superior to having several armed and therefore alive civilian's explaining to police how the attacker got that fatal bullet wound.

If true, this is awesome, but a verifiable cite is required. Please supply one (I tried a quick Google and found nothing).

On edit: Never mind, found all sorts of hits. It's happend in Australia based on Gillard, Texas based on Obama, etc. It's fiction. Too bad.

    Another edit, the nail: Snopes

Probably didn't really happen, but please do not rely on Snopes to verify things. There is much they are good for, but I have found they also have an agenda that is not conducive to publishing the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth concerning things that do not fit their agenda.

Does that sound familiar? It should. Hint: Violence Policy Center.

Unfortunately the writer has blanked out their details and wishes to remain anonymous. All I have done is pass it on.

I agree, but I had seen enough evidence that backed up snopes. We need a metasnopes.

Essentially the same story on Snopes.com forum with a few minor changes.
I'd classify it as an urban legend, but not necessarily an untrue one.

    An excellent story!
    Hi Mate.

She had and still has a wide circle of friends even if sometimes she is in denial?? Remember, "There will be No carbon tax under a Government I lead." As soon as she was shoe horned in by the Greens and three indipendants who supported a carbon tax, she introduced a carbon tax, a mining tax and recently told the mining companies who have invested billions of dollars in ou rcountry and empoly multiple thousands of people, "You dont own the minerals and you will pay!"

SCRAPPING the ANZUS treaty, twinning Melbourne with Leningrad and introducing a super-tax on the rich were among radical policies devised or backed by Julia Gillard as a student activist.

The then Labor deputy leader was a key figure in a socialist group that pushed radical policies and social agendas in the 1980s and early '90s.
Founded in 1984 as a pressure group within the ALP, the Socialist Forum also wanted to sever Australia's alliance with the US and introduce death duties and redistribute wealth from the rich to the poor.

In a pamphlet from the mid-1980s, Ms Gillard describes herself as a "socialist and a feminist"

One key document is the 1985 "Pine Gap - Planning a Strategy", drafted by Philip Hind.

He recommended stronger ties with the USSR, including making Melbourne a sister city of Leningrad,

The more you work, the more you are punished; the less you work, the more you are rewarded. It's the opposite of justice, it's the opposite of reality. It's doomed to failure.
