Moving to Reno, looking for electrician, drainage contractor and chimney service ref.

New here, been lurking mostly as I've been busy working on moving. It seems almost like anything goes so figured I'd ask here, maybe find contractors that are OC/firearm friendly.

Should be moving to Reno beginning of September (in escrow on house). Got a few projects I'll want to hire someone to do.

Upgrade electrical panel to 200amp and some related work.

Yard and concrete slab patio don't properly slope away from the house, figure a drainage specialist can come up with solutions..

And our fireplace will need some fairly light maintenance....

Thanks for any referrals... I tried searching online but all you end up getting are various scammy index pages and the like.. perhaps there are some members here that do this kinda work... Of course OC/CCW is 100% welcome on my property (kinda goes without sayin), however expect questions..mostly like.. "how do you like that holster" ;-)

I sure hope this thread is allowed by rules. I like seeing a topic like this, where as a community we can also show we do other stuff with our lives =P.

I figured if it's not allowed a mod would be along shortly to dump this into the bit bucket.

Welcome to the forum and an advanced welcome to Northern Nevada. I live about 50 miles SE of Reno and have been here since 1994. I'm a native of Pennsylvania.

For the things you need done, I can't make any specific suggestions. But I'm sure if you carefully ask around once in Reno you should be able to find solutions to what you need. There are many people who come into this area that are very skilled in a wide range of crafts and are looking to pick up some extra $. But as with anyplace you may go...please, do be discerning.

As for open carry...not all, but most places in the Carson City /Reno areas 'honor' open carry. I've had no problems in Carson City or Lyon County...so far.
