    OC in other states

If a state is licensed OC only, and they accept VA CHP for conceal, does that cover you under licensed carry for OC. I am asking specifically about TN, I know I could post this in TN thread, but I trust our people a lot more.

My understanding is that a TN permit allows one to open or conceal carry. They also honor all other state permits. Those two facts together would lead me to belief that one could open carry with an out-of-state permit without issue. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Sounds accurate to me. Very much like Indiana.

It is legal to OC in Nevada just as it is in VA. No permit needed, unlike some states that only allow OC if you have CC license. Police sometimes hassle OC'ers in Las Vegas and Reno, and casinos almost always escort you out if you try to OC. I say "try" because the casinos have pretty sharp security systems, and you would quickly be identified and told to leave. Other than that, OC is no problem, and in most of the smaller towns, it is no big deal at all.

That's good to know Dutch, but the OP is going to TN.

the answer is yes. TN does look at a chp from VA to be equivalent to a HCL.
Luke 22:36 ; 36Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

i you call a CHP a CCW then you are really stupid. period.
