democrats shouldnt even be allowed on this site

You have expressed Fascist leanings on more than one occasion. You, and Bachmann ought to put together a panel to discover who is a True American, and who is not.

This forum is the broadest political scope forum I have ever been on. And the cool thing is, it's an OC forum.

I am a bit surprised to see there have been two Democrat votes.

I lay claim to one of them~

Not related to the qouting, but; How come the other parties aren't on the poll? Prior to 2011 and switching to democrat, I was part of the Communist Party [2007-08], and the Green Party [2009-2011]. And If I'm not mistaken, the Green party has over three-hundred-thousand members, and does win elections, and appointments to local, and state positions. I'd think that would qualify it to be on the poll. Why not put up the Pirate Party? their pretty cool, like a cybernetic version of the libertarian party... Oh, and the freedom party, the America first party, the Independant Republican party, or, even the Nazi party if that's anyones affiliation... >.>

I've been a registered republican since the Reagan administration. However, my political leanings are definitely "Conservative" Libertarian.

I lay claim to the first Democrat vote.

Communism reads well, but in application, considering Mans emotional, and Social immaturity, he requires coercion.--who will coerce those with absolute Power? Communism is as appealing as Capitalism.

*My post got messed-up for some reason*

I side with a dead guy on this issue,

"However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion." --GEORGE WASHINGTON, Farewell Address, Sep. 17, 1796

Screw 'em all, they've been doing it to us for decades... Time to say "No!"

"But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." That's my party affiliation.

We all need to read TH Breen's book, American Insurgents, American Patriots. It's like a primer for folks who need a good educating on how the American people freed themselves. It wasn't the guys in Philly, it was farmers, shop keepers, stableboys, fathers and sons who made this nation Free. Not leaders or government. Men, real men, willing to fight, kill and die for their children's Freedom.

Vote if you want but please, as you enter the booth or open your ballot, please ask yourself this question: "Which of these men or women will make my children more Free and less reliant on the government?" Then maybe ask the follow on, "What election in my lifetime has made me more Free?"

Please cite examples of my "fascist leanings" that I have expressed.

I gave an example in the quote. You ought to pay attention Mr.

democrats shouldnt even be allowed on this site

A derivation:

"Fascism seeks to eradicate perceived foreign influences that are deemed to be causing degeneration of the nation or of not fitting into the national culture.[SUP][5]"

Definition of FASCISM
1 often capitalized: a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.
Barry is a fascist and not a socialist?

Barry is a fascist and not a socialist?

Isn't it interesting what these words actually mean? Like Federal or Revolution or Coup d'etat...

They have been very successful in getting us to use this language with no real understanding of the words we use.

Socialism cannot really function, it's like Democracy in that it is a stepping stone bringing us to a Oligarchy. Nearly all governments eventually devolve into an Oligarchy, where the few rule over the many. Welcome to America.

This poll is woefully inadequate. Try this list of political parties here in the U.S.:

America
Christian
Citizens
Communist
Constitution
Democratic
Freedom
Green
Independent
Jefferson
Justice
Labor
Libertarian
Objectivist
Pacifist
Peace
Pirate
Prohibition
Reform
Republican
Socialist
Tea
Union
Unity
Workers
Other/Prefer not to say

I know some democrats that are more pro-gun than republicans...

I know some dogs that can speak "I love you." Doesn't mean they're you're best choice to deliver the commencement speech at graduation, though.

...granted, overall, democrats do not support gun rights as much as other parties.

I saw an interesting graph yesterday. Before about 1970, both Democrats and Republicans each had a firearm ownership rate of just over 50%, with the Republican rate ranging between 2 and 5 points higher. Since then, the rate for Democrats has dropped to less than 35%, while the rate for Republicans dropped only slightly, from about 57% to 52%.

Why? The reason is because prior to then, gun control wasn't a politically polarizing issue. Some people owned them, some didn't. At some point, hoplophobes infiltrated the Democratic party and began making it a party issue, ostensibly because it would lure the weak-minded pacifists to their ranks and swell their numbers.
