Personal opinion: This should not be in the Idaho thread. Reason being is that this is a nationwide problem; not just in Idaho.

This is the hardest, by far, job we have as Open Carriers and that is educating the "journalists" we have today, the politicians, and the general, non-gun-owning public. The main reason it is such a hard job is that a majority of those people do not want to be educated. Anyone ever heard the phrase, "My mind's made up; don't confuse me with the facts"?

The journalists, for the most part, and the politicians would much rather play to emotions than to intellect. Emotions are much easier to manipulate.

The majority of the general population understands appeals to emotion better than they do appeals to intellect. This old man does see some signs that situation is changing, but it is a very slow process.
