Actually, Adam (MOC VP), Myself, and Ryan Ransom (Autosurgeon) - Treasurer would be needing that soon. We're filing as a 501(c)(4). Can you email boatrd@miopencarry.org and give us some ideas what you can do for us and what's involved?

Check your PM for my phone # and call me, I talked to the CPA this morning and have received a ton of info from him on the application process, forms, instructions etc. They would be happy to assist in the application process and filing of the forms since they have experience in doing this. They are also willing to offset some of the costs with a trade-off for my labor with them (my donation to the process). There is however a bunch of legwork you guys have to do seeing that the application is a 30 page document :( that you can answer most of the questions better. Get ahold of me and I can forward the info and discuss the process with you. The application approval can take anywhere from 6-18 months so the sooner the better.

You know that I can't donate that much. If I could, I'd fund the whole case. I was hoping to get a suit out of the search and detainment issue, and would have donated from that.

I think it would be foolish not to stick this out, and considering the possible ramifications of the case, it might not be an option, we may have to take it to the supreme court if there is to be any OC at all in the state.

Neil,

I have been holding back for a long time, but you have made mention several times on this form that finances are tight for you. Here is the issues I have.

I have noticed the following over time from numerous posts;
1. You have the ability to go for long walks.
2. You like to mall walk.
3. You can operate a motor vehicle.
4. You have at least basic computer and grammar skills, and can post on the internet.
5. You have endurance as you post all hours of the day and night.

If you have all of the above, you are FAR from being disabled to the point you can’t work…..at least not even an entry level position.

Why on God’s green earth can’t you find a job? Even if you found something under the table to supplement your government handout, you could then help a cause once in a while and maybe even yourself? You have a minimum of basic abilities, why not use them?

Please understand that I am not trying to be mean or insulting, I am just tired of people who continuously make it known that they are on hard times but refuse to help themselves. Remember that EVERY fact I have posted, you have posted about yourself. The facts are not something I pulled out of thin air.

I dont refuse work, it can be hard to find under the table stuff on the regular, but once in a while, i make a couple bucks. If i find something I can do, I generally enjoy the work. As far as regular work goes, first problem im having is the socialist system Im tied into. If I make x taxable dollars, (around 180 a month) they start taking it out of my benefits. That check pays the rent. If I go to work, i wont have any money in my pocket, as it all goes to rent, for a very long time. I dont see getting over that hump for a number of years. if i lose that job, my fault or not, I lose the rent, and wind up in a shelter or my car. It keeps you trapped under a security blanket. The rent is paid, the lights are on, but there isnt much else.

The other issue, is I have some anxiety, which can cause some issues with getting to, and keeping work. There are some physical issues that would keep me from doing many, but not all jobs of course. I like driving jobs, but due to the reckless BS thats out. If I can find something that pays enough, can get me to the doctor, that Im qualified for, and is decently close, I'll take it. A lot of the problem, is that Ive gotten used to the way things are, it can be hard to break out of that.
