Well, that story ended a lot better than the one of the 84 y/o woman who was raped and her 90 something husband severely beaten. Glad these folks were able to react quickly and defensively.

Well sure... and his subsequent actions certainly demonstrate what an upstanding citizen he is...
I just meant that if he had threatened anyone like this before, he should have been stopped the first time. Decisively. Most violent criminals are repeat offenders, but there really shouldn't be a second time...

I am happy this ended the way that it did, but bird shot for home defense is just no good. 00 buck at least. I trust that my controlled expansion hollow points will do the job and not have to worry about over penetration.

i own several long guns and a shotgun, besides my carry snubby.
they are all loaded and in different rooms of the house, hidden of course. my bigg ass dog guards them when im away.
i dont have any kids at home so i feel safe in that respect.
i just cant see any reason to have these guns put away in a closet, unloaded. depends on which door a bad guy comes thru, which gun he gets shot with.
