I like how the article says it supports both ends of the political spectrum...

Gee, actually, both are questions of LIBERTY! This shouldn't be so hard, people.

Your not asking the right question...

The question should not be, "should the government allow gays to marry"?. The right question is why should the government tell ANY grown adult who, when, why they can marry? Government marriage licensing should be abolished.

ETA Marriage is a commitment between two people and (if you so believe) their God. It has nothing to do with the government.

Pew’s survey was conducted via telephone interviews among 3,0008 adults nationwide between April 4-15, with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.9-3.0%.
    How many exactly is 3,0008?

Funny, California that ultraliberal state can't seem to pass the same-sex marriage bill and they aren't allowed to OC a loaded weapon. Things that make you go hmmmmm....

Like how many Coloradans are unaware that CO's gun laws are less restrictive than TX.

Political spectrum means Democrats and Republicans, not conservative and liberal. Ironically, the middle ground is liberty (aka Freedom), but the partisans forget that.

As to marriage licensing, it should be registration of a civil relationship so there are established stirpes and related responsibilities for things like health care. There are some good reasons to register these relationships, but licensure and permission aren't among those reasons. Establishing real informed, voluntary consent is.
