I went into a surplus store on Morse Road and Cleveland Ave in Columbus yesterday, open carrying as usual. When I went to the register to pay for my items the clerk asked if I was security or a great American. I smiled and said just an American. I paid for my stuff and went on my way.
It's not the most exciting encounter but it sure beats getting handcuffed.

Haha, nice. I've been OC'ing around Columbus and so far haven't had any negative experiences other than an old lady looking at me funny in a Panera.

I love that line! I'm going to use that next time I see a customer carrying.
