I come from a land downunder.
As Always our media, papers, talkback and radio are all over this tragic news story.

The anties are falling over themselves, having orgasm's franticly calling talk back radio venting their spleen's calling for further toughening of our firearms laws.

.A GUNMAN who opened fire near the Texas A&M University campus killed a constable before being shot dead.
Another civilian died during the exchange of gunfire, police said.
It is the third major shooting incident in the United States within four weeks. A gunman opened fire in a packed midnight screening of the latest Batman movie on July 20, killing 12 and injuring at 58. Last week, a race-hate inspired attack on a Sikh temple in Wisconsin saw six people shot dead before the gunman turned a weapon on himself.
In the latest incident, Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann attended a house that the gunman was barricaded inside. Police say the gunman was being served an eviction notice.
Constable Bachmann was shot in the front yard. Officers responding to the call "officer down" shot the gunman, and began CPR on the constable, Assistant Police Chief Scott McCollum said

Law enforcement officers congregate at the site of a shooting near Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
.Two civilians were shot, a woman who was taken to hospital for surgery, and a 65-year-old male civilian who died.
Another policeman was shot in the leg and is in a stable condition, and another received non life-threatening injuries, Mr McCollum said.
"A situation like this is very chaotic. We have a lot of information that's coming in, we have multiple crime scenes, and we ask the public to be patient as we try to understand why this tragedy has occurred," he told reporters.
The university initially issued a "Code Maroon" to students at 12:29 pm local time and announced the shooter was apprehended 15 minutes later.

.The incidents took place around the 200 block of Fidelity Drive, a historic residential area a few blocks from the sprawling Texas A&M campus, close to the campus football stadium Kyle Field.
Police spokesman Jon Agnew said officers had established a perimeter around the area but did not believe a second suspect was involved. They did not know if the shooter was a student at the university.
The university warned its nearly 50,000 students to "continue to avoid the area." Texas A&M spokeswoman Sherylon Carroll said most students were not on campus, with the new semester not beginning until August 27.
"It appeared to be fairly quiet,'' Carroll said of campus. "It didn't appear to be a lot of people out and about at that particular time.''

.College Station is about 145km northwest of Houston.
Texas attorney-general Greg Abbott said "senseless attacks by violent criminals have no place in the State of Texas - and will not be tolerated."

The incident came in the wake of two recent mass shootings - one at a crowded cinema in Colorado and another at a Sikh Temple in Wisconsin - less than three weeks apart that reignited debate over US gun laws.

The USA has a population of 315 million.
Australia has a population of 22 million.

There's bound to be a few more shooting headlines from the USA.

Good thing bad guys never kill anyone in Australia or the UK or anywhere.

Speaking of the UK, their violent crime rate is more than 4 times higher than the U.S. Maybe they need more guns.
