The Yellow Cat will be returning to Wisconsin to attend a High School Class Reunion and will be available for teaching on Friday, August 24, 2012, Saturday, August 25, 2012 (any class must be over by 3 pm) or Sunday, August 26, 2012. Most of the interest generated to date has been in the Utah Concealed Firearm Permit course, but I could do other courses as well.

Students wishing to take the Utah CFP course must first download the Utah Mandatory Teaching document at http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/documents/MTC04022012.pdf

Students must also download the application found here: http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/documents/CFPapp0312.pdf

For more information from the Utah Department of Public Safety go here: http://publicsafety.utah.gov/bci/concealedfirearms.html

To see the Yellow Cat's fee and discount schedule, to here: www.yellowcatpersonaldefense.com

The reader will note that WI Carry members receive a discount as to NRA members. Yellow Cat does not teach to make money, he does it to provide quality firearms safety instruction and to impart the necessary knowledge, skills, and attitude to safely own and operate a firearm for personal defense and the defense of others.

NRA Rules apply - no live ammo in the classroom. Students wishing range time must locate a range and pay all fees. You can indicate interest by signing up by PM, posting here, or telephoning me. (Phone number is on website.) The most likely course time will be Saturday, 8-25-12 from 9:30 - 1:30 or so.

A good friend would love to take your class next weekend. Where will you be holding your class? WI is a rather large state, so I'm not sure a week would provide enough wandering time in order to find you.

East Troy airport, which is on the NE corner of the intersection of interstate 43 and state route 20.
That's SW of Milwaukee, between Elkhorn & Mukwonago.
From downtown Milwaukee, Google maps says it's 40 min.

You plan on having any defense classes coming up? I don't have military experience to fall back on and since I have a bad back flee for life isn't really an option.

Special Needs Instruction

As MKEgal has pointed out, the Yellow Cat conducts classes at the East Troy Airport just off Interstate 43 on US 20 and County L. I would be pleased to add instruction in the care and cleaning of various pistols (or rifles) as an addendum to my courses. I do not claim to know how to disassemble all firearms, but I am a whiz at Springfield XD, Glock, Taurus, or Model 1911s - whether by classical take-down or the more modern use of a spring block. If you have a unique firearm and want cleaning instructions, PM me with the make and model so I can see how the take-down is accomplished.

As for defensive courses, I can offer a recognized course (NRA Personal Protection in the Home) or a Yellow Cat custom course that centers around the strengths and weaknesses of each student. If range work is involved, the student must provide the range and pay the fees.

I recognize that many of my former students have been younger able-bodied persons. But I also recognize, as a member of AARP myself, that some students have disabilities and limitations. I am happy to work with such students on a case by case basis.

I suggest that it would be helpful to clarify whether you mean students should meet at the main parking lot at 09:30, or that class starts then & they should be in the parking lot no later than (pick a time... 09:10?) so there can be one coordinated parade through the gate.

Meet in the Airport Park-n-Ride no later than 09:25 CDT. If you are late, telephone me. My phone number is on my website, www.yellowcatpersonaldefense.com

Both links are working fine for me. I think you might have to update Adobe reader.

G reat Class

The UT class had only one student, but he is a cowboy action competitive shooter so we spent less time on the basics and more time on practical and tactical. And he lit up when the Yellow Cat dug out a Colt Peacemaker replica single action Cowboy Revolver.

He has his Wisconsin License and he wanted the UT permit for greater reciprocity; particularly MN.
