I arrived this afternoon in Indy for the weekend and the MotoGP, which I will be riding a lap on the track on Monday, for the second time. So I'm checking into my hotel and in walks a couple guys in another motorcycle group. One guy is dressed in a full black leather race suit and strapped to his leg is a drop leg holster. Then after a bit we head to our room and find out they are in the room next to one of our rooms. So that means 3 of the 4 in my group are carrying and one guy in the room next to us is too. That makes for a pretty safe floor. Rock on Indianapolis!!!

Today I stopped in at a Chick-Fil-A. I pulled in the lot and seen a Metro PD car parked. I thought hmm could be interesting. I walked in and headed towards the bathroom and who is sitting right next to the bathroom with his back to the wall overlooking the whole restaurant. It's mr Metro PD, I walk by him and he notices me as I passed. He was on my strong side, would be hard for him to miss. He just looks at me and continues eating. Then after a while I notice him leaving. It appears the Metro PD knows and respect our rights. ;)

That's pretty cool.

I've open carried @ Chic-fil-A numerous times and have never been approached by a police officer there. They're always there at lunch time getting their free chicken (city, county, & state as well).

Isn’t that considered bribery?

From what I've heard, IMPD getting free chicken that keeps them off the road is a Good Thing[SUP]TH[/SUP]. Far as I know, lemonade does not impair one's driving skills as much as other beverages do.

But, yeah, it's cool to go to a new place and see other tourists who share your hobbies.

stay safe.
