New to OC. Shepherdsville, KY

Hello Everyone,

I just recently started researching OC in Kentucky, and found the information you guys had extremely helpful. I am also from Shepherdsville, KY just outside of Louisville, and I was wondering if anyone else here is from the area, has open carried, and how their experience open carrying has been.

We have been having some serious problems around the Louisville area here lately, but I wouldn't worry about them. The actions of officers around Louisville lately have been unconstitutional and illegal when dealing with people OC'ing, but I certainly wouldn't allow this to keep me from protecting myself and family. I believe these situations will be handled if those that have been done wrong deal with the matter in a courtroom.

I agree with you. I'm not going to let that stop me from carrying. If anything, if I get stopped maybe I can enlighten the officer on what the statue actually says.

I live on the brooks/shepherdsville line and havent had any problems with a few places I've OC'd. I OC'd at the tumbleweed off brooks, walmart in hillview, and el nopal in shepherdsville without any strange looks.

I can assure you that they will come. Everything is wonderful until you have that first interaction with someone that disagrees with your carrying of a firearm. These will ruin your day if you let them, that is certain.
