Hi I will be in San Diego next week for my daughters wedding. Whats the advice for carrying while I am in town? I currently have my Permit to carry in Minnesota (where I live) and I think I would feel almost naked without my pistol but also do not want to be become a target (to the thugs as well as the LEO's). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I will be in La Jolla to be exact and will be in town for 7 days. Thanks

I would not even think about carrying a handgun in California

CA does not honor concealed permits from other states.

California is not a traditional open carry state. Open carry is generally prohibited except in unincorporated areas where the county has not made open carry illegal, or, pursuant to a CA open carry permit issued and valid only in a county with a population of less than 200,000 persons.

Thanks....I was under the impression that I could carry openly but unloaded. Thats all I needed to know. Hang in there and we can all hope that CA will be a " Permit to Carry" state soon.
