Another sad tale of death involving a police officer as the "shooter". But this one seems to be an accidental discharge, resulting in the death of an innocent citizen. What I found most interesting about the article, is the reporter's description of the officer's position and weapon, after the shooting. This is supposedly on the bodega's since-removed security video:
The officer is kneeling and pointing his semiautomatic at Cuevas when the video clip ends.
Equally as interesting as the shooting itself, I'm left wondering why the reporter chose to use the word "semiautomatic", as opposed to the much simpler, and equally descriptive words, gun or pistol? Is this simply an extremely detail-oriented reporter... or, is it another attempt by the left-wing gun grabbers to subtly promote prejudice against any firearm with the word "semiautomatic" attached to it? Pax...
