Came down here for training, decided to *** ** OC *****. Open carried in my temporary nylon Blackhawk holster last night when I got in, and was able to buy a beer at a 7-11 without being carded. That never happens!

Today, just went to training, got back to the hotel and took out the pistol, carried around Norfolk for some shopping, Verizon store on N. Military Hwy, Sports Authority, Supercuts, no problems at all. Hit Superior Pawn & Gun to get a little range time in, had to unload the pistol outside of the store and keep the mag out while shopping. Not entirely intuitive, but whatever.

Only :eek: I got was from one of the cleaning ladies at the front desk. I walked by, hands full of stuff, and got a hushed "What is that?" I simply answered "A Pistol" and she said "oh". Looked more interested than concerned though.

Overall, no encounters with local LE, going back out to find chow later tonight, and possibly up to the Richmond area meetup tomorrow night. Will update if I have any issues.

Pretty much set up shop in my hotel room, and just ordered in some pizza. Couldn't figure out anything to do that wouldn't be burning money, ammo, or both.

Will do on the call when I'm back up there. Next couple of weeks are going to be nuts, between Job #1 and on-the-job for Job #2. All while still trying to find a "real" job. Heh.
