I've decided to vote for Romney!.......IF

I've decided to Vote for Romney if he can guarantee me he will only make appointments of professors featured in videos on Learnliberty.org

Obviously this is just a little harmless foolery but if you haven't discovered the gem of learnliberty.org I highly recommend it!

I don't mind watching the OC-Community (tea party 2.0's, who have hijacked the OC-Community) cannibalize itself. I do mind watching OC dragged through the gutter. OC is an exercise of A Right. I choose to not OC; I choose to not own firearms. I choose to leave the OC-Community to it's own self-inflicted injuries, and eventual implosion. Carry on...

    Romney a bit tongue-tied...

Romney is an interesting fellow. I support any person that votes for him; he is a Principled man.

    Of course. Why not?

People who condone taking the people's freedom but are blinded by the pro-live mantras will vote for Romney.

As long as your aware your selling our freedoms for irrelevant rhetoric I'm happy.

The only thing Romney seems good at, is tanking his run for President.

Freedom, and Liberty were never the property of any of us in the social realm.

I'm Gay, and unhappy about President Obama's policies regarding Gays.--don't fret, one more block of four years, and Gay Marriage will be National.

I'm sure your voting for a formidable candidate, this election cycle. Gary Johnson?--I hope he wins, for all of our sakes. BTW, Gary Johnson is a rhetoric wind-bag, just like the rest of the lott. Who is he to state what we ought to, and ought to not have?

This is the lie your fed, just like the right has their lies to keep control of the other half.

Your only real choice is whether or not you have the guts to take back our freedoms from the two part system who would keep and steal them.

btw. If you have there where-with-all to drag your eyes from the Obama rhetoric.... Look at Johnson's past. Look at what he did. Rejection of new laws. Power to THE PEOPLE!

You have a greater chance to get gays their natural rights through Johnson than the game Obama has and will continue to play.

Of course once our country is devastated by our fed's reckless fiscal principles it won't really matter.

    Romney on President Obama voters:

"There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what," Romney says in one clip. "All right -- there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them. Who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing."
    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1829455.html

Good luck drawing on Independent voters who are a bit more Left than Right. I thought Romney would actually be a worse outcome for President Obama to run against, it seems that I am wrong, Romney may be the best person for President Obama to run against.

The Conservative wing of the Republican party is not to happy with Romney:

    Bryan Fischer on Romney:

“Mitt Romney right now should be leading by 10 or 15 points and the fact that he’s not is Mitt Romney’s problem,” Fischer told reporters at the Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C. “It’s because he’s running such a lackluster campaign that has been so vague on ideas. What plan is he offering the American people?”
The host of the talk radio show "Focal Point" went on to say that the Republican Party’s conservative base lit up upon Ryan’s appointment to the presidential ticket. But instead of embracing the Wisconsin congressman’s vision and ideas, the Romney campaign chose to “put a sock in Paul Ryan’s mouth.”
“The biggest mistake is they put a bag over Paul Ryan’s head,” Fischer said, responding to a question from The Huffington Post on where the Romney campaign had gone wrong. “That’s the biggest mistake they made -- they put a sock in Paul Ryan’s mouth.

I have watched over the past year, a decline int he enthusiasm on the Right.--it is apparent on this forum. What seemed a good chance at making President Obama a One-Term President has become a circus in the Republican race, IMO, of course.

For as bad as President Obama is purported to be, what do we have as an alternative?: RINO Romney.

I don't believe that I have lost any Freedom these past four years.--I have not gained any Freedom, either.

Don't act as if I am some blind follower of President Obama, well, you can act like I am, even though I'm not. I am voting for him again though, as an alternative to Romney. Romney would stack SCOTUS with more pro-Corporate types than President Obama, IMO.--Citizens United comes to mind.

None of this really matters. The boat has left, and Corporation have taken over our elections. You think that your little voice can trump billionaires feeding tens of millions of dollars into ads? Our election process has taken a hit, and it will take more hits if a Republican is elected this time around. Hopefully, President Obama will continue to be the pragmatic man that he is, and put some Moderates up at the Bench; he will have a few vacancies this next four years, some of them Conservative.

The Second Amendment will take a bit of a hit, but if it assures we move forward on other items then I am willing to take the chance.--my Gay ass has a better chance with this route than the alternative, Conservative agenda for America.

Your "forward" is someone else's "backwards". Let's attempt to refuse sacrificing more of the 2A and vote third party.

    Romney on Illegals...

Let me get this straight, Romney, a child who is brought to America, and is living here illegally, your solution, upon their graduation from high school is:

"I want them to stay here, so I'd staple a green card to their diploma," Romney said...http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/r...-election.html.
It's nice to see that Romney is for amnesty; I wonder just how far he is willing to go with amnesty: All Illegals?

    Ryan on Romney:

"I'm not the only one who has told Mitt that maybe he needs to talk more about himself and his life," Ryan told the group Friday morning, to scattered laughter from the crowd. "It wouldn't hurt if voters knew more of those little things that reveal a man's heart and his character."http://www.bradenton.com/2012/09/15/...why-arent.html
Romney, apparently, has a lot to hide.

And Republicans/Conservatives/tea party types, will find their Out:

If Obama wins, Romney's lack of specifics will rob Obama of the leverage he might gain from truly vanquishing the GOP’s ideas. Republicans will conclude that Romney lost because he was a bad candidate and didn't sell conservative principles. There will be no reason to back down in future fights with the president because the ideas undergirding their beliefs won't have been discredited by a Romney loss—only Romney will have been discredited. Tea Party activists will draw this conclusion as well. The ideas didn't lose; the candidate did, in part because he didn't stand up loud and proud for conservative ideas. Any Republican politicians who compromise with the president or backs down on conservative principles will have a target on their back in the next election cycle. Anyone who shrinks from a fight will be considered no better than Mitt Romney. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_a...d_agenda_.html
[The message isn't the issue, Romney is the issue], B.S., Republicans put Romney up, enjoy your mess; they have no person to blame but themselves. I will state this: Republicans are going to lose more election is they cling to tea party/Conservative Social nonsense--stick with what works for the Party: Fiscal Conservativism!--Social Conservativism is a losing battle; Gay Marriage, LOSING...Abortion, LOSING...Economy, fiscal constraint, WINNER! Wake up, even though it's too late, Republicans.

    FOX news poll, and Romney:

Some of the numbers most disturbing to the Romney camp come from their friends at Fox News. The Fox poll found Romney trailing by 5 percent nationally among likely voters. Obama leads by 14 points with women, 18 points with people who make under $50,000, 25 points with voters under 30. He holds solid leads with voters who care about foreign policy, education, Medicare, health care and terrorism.
If Romney is not doing well on FOX, then Romney is not doing well, PERIOD. I hate using CAPS in my posts, I have been reduced to it. I was hoping for a good fight this season, and all I see is President Obama winning on Foreign Policy, Social Issues, and Romney not able to break-thru and really dig into the 800 gorilla in the room: Economy.

    Romney, and FOX news polls:

Romney losing is three key States.

    http://radio.foxnews.com/2012/09/14/.../#.UFfKCaP4Krw
And what does one of the commenter's have to state about Romney's failure?: " Susan · 5 hours ago
I am worried. The media will sweep Obama into office and we can't stop it.", in complete denial about Republicans having put-up an impotent candidate to run against President Obama. Out-right denial is what got the Republicans to this place, and until they wake-up, and face realities on the ground, they are dead in the water.

The fact that you relate Moderation with Socialism and Fascism tells a lot about the unfortunate position your ilk have entrenched yourselves in; enjoy your trench, you are going to be there a long time. I have stated before that Americans are Moderate people, and although they vote for tea party types out of frustration, they will always come back to the middle; Romney is a poor attempt at making Republicans appear Moderate, poor attempt; hell, Romney doesn't even know who Romney is. Voting Third Party is a waste of time. There are no viable Third Party candidates, unfortunately, yet!

Health insurance should have never been left in the hands of insurance companies, but, Democrats worked with what they had. Health insurance companies ought not exist, and health insurance ought to be completely Federal run.

BTW, the House, and Senate passed the health insurance reform, President Obama signed it, period. Are you arguing that Congress passed an illegal Law?--or an unConstitutional one? I am sure SCOTUS will determine the Constitutionality of it.

We have been together for fifteen years, we may as well be married, we certainly have been acting like it for nearly half our lives. We are 34, and have been together since we were 18.--I don't know many heterosexuals that have stayed together as long as we have...and still love one another.

There are difficulties present without the ability to be married, such as Social Security Benefits, Health Insurance, Housing, etc.

You should always look both ways before crossing the street LOL, it would be unfortunate if you were squashed flat by a bus.--or lucrative.

Yeah, what's unfortunate for one is lucrative for another. Fifteen years, that's pretty good, there are a lot of couples that never get near that mark. Congrats!

Congratulations to you as well. We are both blessed.

I was hoping for a good fight this season, but Romney seems to not be delivering.

It kind of reminds me of that boxing match between Tyson and that one guy who ended up doing pizza commercials after he fought Tyson; it was in the early nineties, a white guy, lasted about 40 seconds in the ring with Tyson. I would have really loved to see Paul against Obama in the debates.

    Some numbers on voters:

Still, many are low-income Americans. According to the August 2010 AP-GfK poll, a majority of Americans who make less than $30,000 a year are Democrats. But 27 percent identify as Republicans, and 15 percent say they're independents. About 57 percent say they will vote for Obama, while 38 percent back Romney. About 43 percent identify themselves as conservatives.http://seattletimes.com/html/politic...pusromney.html
    President Obama's slip in 2008:

Obama faced a similar moment in the 2008 campaign, when he told donors that many Americans who are angry about their struggles "cling to their guns or religion."
Romney's running mate, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan, made reference to that remark Monday at a campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa.
"I remember that one time when he was talking to a bunch of donors in San Francisco and he said people like us, people from the Midwest like to cling to their guns and religion," Ryan said.
The issue that Romney will run into, as opposed to President Obama, is that the Clingers, Obama was referring to, well, they weren't voting for Obama anyhow, unlike the Independents that Romney was referring to, that he needs, to win the election.

Carry on...

    It's a moderate trench so... it's ok.

There are no viable 1st and 2nd party candidates either so what do we have to lose?

It kind of reminds me of that boxing match between Tyson and that one guy who ended up doing pizza commercials after he fought Tyson; it was in the early nineties, a white guy, lasted about 40 seconds in the ring with Tyson. I would have really loved to see Paul against Obama in the debates.
I'm not sure, I don't recall the pizza commercials. But not to stray to far off track here, just a quick question. Both being in their primes, who would you pick to win, Tyson or Ali?
    watch your top knot !

Tyson is a violent man, period...Ali would take him.
