Hi All, My Name is Bruce and I'm new to the forum and just wanted to say hi and to ask a question.

Even though I've been around firearms all my life, I just bought a Glock 27 and want to ask what kind of reactions do you get from LEO and people when you open carry ?

P.S. I'm orginally from Tn. and moved back to NC so my wife could be closer to her family.

hey. welcome to NC, a great state to be in.

i carry 24/7, about the only thing i get is, "hey you've got a gun" and "yeah we need one now-a-days"

so far no LEO have approached me about it. maybe a little lazy

let us know where you are at and maybe there will be a meet and greet

live in Durham. Get some looks here and there, thats about it. Not a single negative interaction yet. Eaten at a taco bell 2 tables away from 4 LEOs, and checked out at Kroger at 3 AM right next to a LEO. They noticed, but didnt say a word

The short answer is NO. I recommend you print out copies of the 3rd sticky (NC flyer). Also get real familiar with NC General Statutes (Chapter 14-Criminal Law), mostly 14-269 on through Article 54B.

I keep the NCGS page in my favorites for ready reference.

You should also look up the code of ordinances for the city of Burlington (Probably on Municode), plus the Alamance and Guilford county ordinances.
